Accessories: Well it comes with
the charging thingy and that’s all you get. That’s it really, it’s not
something that you can accessorise.
Build Quality: Okay. It does feel
a little plastic to the touch so you’re not going to touch it and go
“oooooooh” but it’s perfectly adequate.
Comfort/Fit: Easy peasy, went
round wrist, snapped the clasping thing bit together and voilà. It’s
really narrow so wearing this and a Fitbit at the same time, on the same
wrist was fine. Tbh you just forget it’s there, it’s very easy on arm.
Aesthetics: Hmm. It’s okay but you’re not picking it because its super pretty. Mostly it’s just bland and unobtrusive.
UI: Easy peasy to use, the on
device its couple of options were idiot proof easy and the phone app was
really good too, which was a bit of a surprise. Chinese companies
often nail the hardware but less so the software. Touch wood the
software has been rather good too. The screen is alright but is a
little dim so you can’t see in sunlight.
Functionality: First and foremost
the X6 is a pedometer. If you buy it that’s why you buy it. It does it
great. The secondary bits then packed together are the watch, yes it
can tell you the time!!! (Glares at stupid Flex) and then with the
screen for telling the time will notify you of calls, texts, whatever
you want. It lights up, vibrates and shows you who’s calling / texting /
whatever, awesome!!! If you’re anything like me and your phone lives
in a pocket it’s really easy to not notice it vibrate right? It’s way
less easy to not notice a thing on your wrist light up and vibrate. I
cannot in anyway overstate how useful this is. The other things, like
sleep tracking seem a bit added on, like the alarm clock, they are all a
bit useless to me but that’s me.
Battery: They say 14 days and mine
easily got 14 and almost another week too. It’s going to depend on how
often you light up that screen and use that vibrate motor though. In
short it’s more charge once a week, not every single night like some.
Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.0. It
didn’t love my P8 but worked great with the Moto G. Connection was
solid, quickly reconnected, just pretty much always worked anytime I
looked at it. Range was fine too though you can set its drop
notification level to whatever you like in terms of signal strength.
Value: So stupid cheap. Aside
from looks it’s nothing like the Flex. It’s got so many functions and
they are so useful for such a piddling sum. I know some snob may balk
at the thought of not getting the big brand name Fitbit but this is so
much cheaper and it does so much more. Great value.
Pro’s: Huge feature set. Stupidly cheap. Superb battery life.
Con’s: Feels bit platsticky. Screen shape not conducive for reading info.
